Watch a Porsche Lose Its Dignity Trying to Keep Up With a Model S

The Tesla Model S’s Ludicrous Mode is truly, well, ludicrous. It makes the Model S one of the more potent performance cars out there, even when going head to head against some pretty well-established performance vehicles. Case in point, the example below.

Here we have a Porsche Cayman GT4 pulling up behind a Model S P90D in a rather, ahem “jerky I want to race” manner. Now usually when I’m in a situation when I have some jerk riding my bumper, I just get out of the way. Every now and then, however, I find myself wishing I had a car fast enough to just leave the jerk in the dust.

Instagram user Teszila was able to live out my dream:

“I was on my way to the PML Quick strike when I noticed that GT4 Porsche Cayman was riding my bumper… I took off quickly from the first light and he followed as best he could.”

As soon as the Model S rounded the corner, however, it was GONE. The Porsche driver gave a valiant effort to keep up but barely even made it out of the turn before losing control land spinning out.

So what’s the lesson here? Well for starters, don’t be a jerk. And if you are a jerk, at least know what you’re up against before you’re made to look like a fool. And finally, understand that someone is most likely always recording, and you’re screw up is now forever on the internet.
