Elon Musk And Grimes Change Their Baby’s Name To Comply With California Law

The theme of this week seems to be Elon Musk changing his mind on plans. The latest example of alterations comes at the cost of some numbers in his and Grimes’ famous baby’s name.

Breaking the internet last month, the baby boy had supposedly been named X Æ A-12, in what was immediately determined by many to be an insane publicity stunt, and others to be another example of the CEO’s weirdness.

Either way, not everyone was convinced, and some even pointed out the name violated California law. Apparently, the state only allows the 26 letters of the Roman alphabet to be part of a birth certificate’s legal-name field.

Well, according to a new Instagram post from mamma Grimes, the name has indeed been altered. Now, the baby formally known as X Æ A-12, will be known as…

X Æ A-Xii

Yes, not that much has changed. The couple apparently had to forgo the inclusion of numeric-digits and instead opt for roman numerals, which “Looks better tbh.”

Such are the times we live in, where the California government won’t even let you have a little fun, and announcements like this are made in the comments section of instagram.

What do you guys think, could this still be a fake name, meant to lead the public off the trail of the boy’s secret identity?
