Tesla News: Model 3 Gets Awesome Off-Road Treatment by Germany’s Delta 4×4

What happens when a Norwegian with a rough commute contacts the German off-roading company, Delta 4×4, asking for help? Well they take the best-selling car in Norway, the Tesla Model 3, and they give it some true grit.

This iconic electric car is not well suited for the Nordic terrain. The Tesla’s batteries situated deep down in the vehicle can make driving in this at times unpredictable environment almost catastrophic.

Delta 4×4 fitted their 35 mm suspension lift kit between the original shocks and the Body, which means a simple and unobtrusive install. This made room for their all terrain tires and 18-inch rugged wheels.

In case that didn’t make the off-road nature of the EV obvious enough for you, then they also added a roof rack, and a little LED light on the front. All said, this gives the Model 3 a very distinct but classy look, especially if you’re into over-landing coupes or safari builds.

As a bonus, Delta sells the lift kit and the wheels, and they won’t cost as much as you might think. The lift kit is $540, and the wheels with Cooper tires will cost you $1,685. If you want upgraded FlangeLock-protected Klassik B wheels, they are $2,180.

No matter which way you cut it, this is a sweet EV, which hopefully inspires more builds like it in the future. With AWD and over 300 miles of range, the Model 3 would make a better off-roader than many people assume.
