Slowest Tesla, The Model Y, Wins In Drag Race Against Porsche Taycan

Tesla doesn’t shy away from high horsepower cars. In fact, CEO Elon Musk even states that Caifornian company doesn’t make a slow car. This is even more true now the new Model S Plaid+ has been revealed with a 0-60 time of less than 1.99 seconds and a top speed of 200mph thanks to a new triple motor powertrain.

Sitting at the bottom of the foodchain however, is the Model Y Performance. Its powertrain consists of two motors, giving it a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 155mph. This car was set up in a drag race against the base-model Porsch Taycan, a big competitor for Tesla. The base Taycan is RWD, with 402 horsepower under the right foot of its driver. And while it’s supposed to be a good match for the Y, the video shows opposite.

The Model Y walks the Taycan on each of the three drag races. Take a look at the video below and see for yourself.
