David Beckham Gifts Son An EV Worth £350,000

David Beckham has given his son Brooklyn an electrically converted 1954 Jaguar XK140 as a wedding present.

The resto-mod has been done by UK-based company Lunaz. David Beckham took a 10 percent stake in the company in June 2021. The company which is based in Silverstone started by releasing the first fully electric Range Rover, Bentley, Rolls-Royce and Jaguar.

With prices starting at £350,000 before tax and a long waiting list into 2024, the company is looking to enter full production of electric vehicle conversions for industrial applications.

Lunaz said that this particular project took a 120 person team who spent thousands of hours on it. Founder and CEO, David Lorenz, said:

“In creating this beautiful, electrified Jaguar XK140, we are honoured to bridge the gap between David Beckham’s professional life, where he is an investor in Lunaz and his family life. This remarkable car is the perfect gift to his son Brooklyn and daughter-in-law, Nicola on their wedding day. In every respect, this extraordinary electric classic car by Lunaz symbolises a bright, positive future.”

This beautiful example of an EV conversion keeps the original Jaguar design whilst being sympathetically updated to show the relevant EV information like battery level and some more modern features. The light blue paint is complimented by the light cream interior upholstery. Below the surface, they have upgraded the breaks, suspensions and steering to make the car more of a daily driver.

Lunaz claim to keep all modern technology discrete and hidden away in all of their converted classic cars and it really seems to pay off.
