Limited Edition Polestar 6 Sells Out In Less Than A Week

Polestar have had a fantastic response to the upcoming Polestar 6.

The Swedish company opened up to preorders for the electric roadster recently and ended up selling out in less than a week. It is a limited edition with only have 500 available and is expected to be around $200,000.

According to Polestar, the target specification is to have a 0-62 mph time of 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. It will have a dual motor powertrain with an anticipated range of 370 miles.

The EV makers released their first vehicle in 2019, the Polestar 1. Their debut vehicle received a lot of praise for the innovative design, however, once it was released critics found fault in the heavy curb weight of the car and a disappointing performance for spending over $100,000.

That being said, things are definitely looking up for the Polestar 6, though, as the original hybrid powertrain has been replaced with the 885 horsepower, dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system.

Although the specification is not quite as impressive as a Tesla Model S Plaid or Porsche Taycan, the Polestar 6 is likely to to come to market before other electric convertibles such as the Tesla Roadster.
