Elon Musk hired Holzhausen in 2008 as Tesla’s chief of design and has worked on the Model S, Model XModel 3 and Model Y and the Cybertruck. From starting out working for Volkswagen in 1992, he has worked for General Motors and Mazda before joining the Tesla team. Being the lead designer for Tesla, it is not surprising that he is at the high end of the property market but it is impressive to see him in the mix of high-profile owners of this property which also includes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.

The park-like estate, which was listed for $57.5 million is set within three acres and the house itself is a whopping 9,000 square feet. Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo recently appeared on the Architectural Digest YouTube channel showcasing the property which was originally built in the late 1930s. They revealed that the house was designed by California-based architect, Cliff May.

The house is set all on one level so has high vaulted ceilings. These along with the white oak floors and large glass walls really open up the space.

Being surrounded by greenery, the private estate boasts ten bedrooms and fourteen bathrooms and that’s not including the separate four bedroom guest house. The house even has a movie theatre and bar, as well as the more formal entertaining areas such as the dining room overlooking the lawn and the large kitchen which has an amazing walk-in fridge.

The third building on the estate is the gym, private office and yoga studio. Outside is the swimming pool, chicken coop, marble bar and landscaped gardens.
